Soller Valley Technical
GRADE 4 - 500 metres ascent, 500 metres descent. Approx 4 ½ hours
19 miles (30 kilometres) - 70% off-road 30% road
Although this excursion has a relatively large percentage on the road, the off-road technical sections on this tour more than make up for this.
Starting in Soller we ride up along a remote road, crossing the Soller to Palma railway, before traversing the mountain on a dirt track.
The spectacular views of Soller are soon replaced with even more beautiful views down to Cala Deia, which we reach via a rocky single trail.
If the weather is nice we will have time for a swim before the climb to the top of the Soller - Deia road.
We then have another challenging descent down to Puerto Soller, which precedes the trip back to Soller via Sa Figuera.
